On January 13th and 14th, during the Blessed Trinity Open Night, the Home Economics department made great smelling foods with many amazed guests!
In the HE department, in HE1, the student chefs and their teachers presented a range of treats for visiting parents and children.
Arranged and managed by Miss McClelland and other talented students of course, everyone was cooking for hours during open night, preparing nachos, cooking and pizza, among other delicious things.
On this night I was assigned to a station which was baking cookies. Sounds nice doesn't it? Well fun fact, while I was making these wonderful tasting cookies, it only took 10 minutes for these to cook! I got a lot of wonderful comments “amazing cookies” “really fresh and great cookies”. It was a real confidence boost!
Overall, this was a fun night and a truly grand experience. Meeting a lot of people was just pure. We were exhausted with the endless cooking, but we got food if there were some left overs!
Of course and baking can be quite fun indeed, just tiring. A lot of people were very friendly. One parent explained that their child "wants to attend the school." Visitors could be heard in the hallway saying, "I can't stop eating. These cookies are amazing!"
