For the 40 days of lent, every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday there has been faith being practiced in the early hours before school starts. It's pleasant and gratifying to see so many people engaged in their Catholic faith. Quietly and calmly.

Every Tuesday morning from 8:30, a Rosary Breakfast begins hosted by the Home Economics department. It's enjoyable to see so many year groups sitting together, growing their faith together.

Every Thursday from the start of Lent, Mass has been held in the Welfare room at 8:30 in the morning with Father John. Even Teachers join in, as it's such a reflective and calming way to start the day. And of course there has been a prayer morning in the Somerton Home Economics room once again at 8:30. I personally go to all of these and they're such a good way for students to begin their day.

At the prayer morning we read a different verse and discuss how we feel about it. “Hail Mary full of grace the lord is with thee” - Kaelan Greene Year 13
